Cosun has become a partner in MVO Nederland, the Dutch knowledge and network organisation for corporate social responsibility. CEO Robert Smith and MVO Nederland's managing director Willem Lageweg signed the partnership agreement on 1 June 2011.

| Breda becomes JOGG municipality with the support of Cosun |
Breda has become a JOGG municipality. JOGG is the acronym in Dutch for the Youngsters at a Healthy Weight programme. The programme's aim is to help people reach and remain at a healthy weight, especially young people. The municipal council is carrying out the JOGG programme with the support of Cosun.

| Cosun receives innovation subsidy for bio-refining sugar beet |
Minister Verburg of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality has awarded Cosun € 1 million for advanced research into the optimal use of sugar beet. Not only do we extract the sugar from the root (which is subsequently processed into pulp for fodder), but we also use other substances, both from the root and the leaves.

| Good result for Royal Cosun in 2009 |
Cosun achieved a net turnover of EUR 1,758 million in 2009, an increase of 4% on 2008 despite the recession, which placed pressure on both sales volumes and selling prices.
